Question: 1) If Oncor’s distribution equipment requires upgrades to serve load, how are costs allocated to individual customers? 2) If the project includes backfeeding grid due to distributed generation such as Solar PV or Storage or “V2G” or “V2B” how does required allocation change?

Oncor: Somewhat off topic: I’ve heard that in neighborhoods where distribution grid is weak there can be a prohibitive cost to installing solar PV. Also at what point does grid capability study cost come into play? Maybe better for followup if you post contact info. I’d previously had some contact with Randy Boys and David Treichler so am curious how you relate to them organizationally. I’m particularly interested in Community Solar with storage and EV and “Smart Grid” integration to address cost issues.

Jason - can you clarify the largest source of funding that got you that savings level?

We did get the buses through the Volkswagen grant. The grant reimburses 80% of the cost of the new bus.

Fuel Savings has equated to about 90%
